Splits!

So, today I decided to do something "different". I'm going to upload 5 different splits in the same post. So, enjoy, 'cause all of them are good, except for Doom.


The first split is Blünt & Nagasaki Nightmare.
Blünt is a tuned down neocrust band from Spain, influenced by His Hero Is Gone, Tragedy and From Ashes Rise. Nagasaki Nightmare is a melodic neocrust band from Italy, they sound a lot like Lies Feed The Machine, Asedio and November 13th. Sick split, I'm more into the Blünt side, but Nagasaki Nightmare is really good as well.

The second split is Contrasto & Nagasaki Nightmare.
Contrasto is an Italian hardcore crust band. They're fast and loud, and their songs are short, and angry, just like crust should be. And you already know what's up with Nagasaki Nightmare. Two completely different Italian bands in one very good split, check it out. I liked more the Contrasto side, because well, I'm more into that kind of crust.

The third split is Doom & No Security.
Well, I think everyone, or at least a lot of people, should know who Doom is, in case you don't, I'll give a brief description. Doom is an English crust band that started playing crossover, but after a couple of gigs, they decided to play a Discharge-influenced crossover thrash-style crust. Somehow, I just never got into this band, but a lot of people like them. On the other side, No Security is a Swedish d-beat band, they put out a few 7''s, and splits, but never got big. Do you know who Meanwhile, Kvoteringen, Imperial Leather and Krigshot are? Well, their band members used to be in No Security. I uploaded this split because of No Security, their side is pretty solid, and you'll love it if you're into 80's Swedish d-beat. Think of Anti-Cimex, and Totalitär... but faster.

Rorschach used to be a powerviolence band from New Jersey, and Neanderthal is a powerviolence band from California, they later became Man Is The Bastard. I couldn't find an image for this split, so I'll just use the Neanderthal logo for their 7'' "Fighting Music". Enjoy!

Since 2003, True has been playing death metal mixed with the melody of Croatian national instrument called “tambura”. True has released two demo albums, the first one called “Plastic world” recorded in 2004 , second one called “Serum” in 2006, and now in 2008 True is preparing a new album which will be out in the spring of 2009. All of the albums have been recorded in their d.i.y. studio “kotecrude”. With about a hundred concerts and festivals behind them, True has played all over Europe and has also had two tours. A tour in Germany in 2007 and a tour in Mexico in 2008.

Chaotic Dischord was formed as a joke between some members of Vice Squad and their roadies around 1981 in Bristol, England. They formed originally to expose via parody the pointlessness of many of the generic ‘crusty’ second-wave punk bands that had been signed to Riot City Records, but ironically became one of the label’s best-selling acts. After an argument with Riot City boss Simon Edwards, in which Bateman and Baldwin claimed they could knock out something on the same lines as some of these bands ‘in ten minutes’, the band later went away and recorded “Glue Accident”. Their brand of punk was aimed at shocking and insulting whoever they could, with one reviewer claiming that the band’s aim was to use the word “fuck” more often than any other band before or after. They eventually got bored with what was essentially the same joke, and split up in 1988 when Bambi’s tool hire business took off.
Baldwin later said of the band: “Of course it was a joke, and we were actually quite disturbed when so many people took it seriously!”

Born in October of the late 80's, Sedición is the first hardcore punk band to ever come out of Guadalajara, Mexico. What made them different from most bands is their lyrics, which were very intelectual and spoke about society, government, and freedom. Their music isn't very elaborate, like most 80's hardcore band, but they're pretty energetic, and are still active in the scene.
